Ernest Parrilla was born in Staten Island in 1997 in the wake of Wu-Tang Clan and the advent of garage house. Parrilla studied at the elite Conservatory of Music at SUNY Purchase under the tutelage of mentors such as Phil Moffa, John Jetter, and Peter Denenberg, whose credits span from Seth Troxler to Kanye West to Space Jam. It was during this edification era at Purchase that Parrilla came to perfect his craft and understand a producer's role in crafting a song, an endeavor that goes far beyond making a beat. Inaugural release Lenticularis, named for the peculiar cloud formations surrounding Northern California's Mt. Shasta (where Parrilla found an elevated clarity of thought and purpose), marked the start of a musical journey that is simultaneously inward as well as outward, an exploration of self and of externally connecting. Following this summer 2020 debut via distributor LVL, Parrilla's autumnal sophomore accomplishment Look at Time cemented this unique perspective on interconnectivity and individualistic processing of thoughts, emotions and even time itself.

"The reason I make house music is that it's a lens, a lens I can look through during any time and transport to a specific place, make certain decisions, feel certain emotions." Prepare for Ernest Parrilla's music to enable you to transcend into a plane of concurrent objectivity and empathy, a delicate balance needed for a level of universal harmony that only surrendering to sound and movement can facilitate.
